Coming from Spencer Hill Press:

The Kelpie
T.J Wooldridge

Due For Release: December 3, 2013

Blurb:
I can't honestly say I was joking when I suggested to my best friend, Joe – Prince Joseph, eldest son of England's Crown Prince – that we could probably find something the police had missed in regards to the missing children. After all, eleven and twelve year olds like us did that all the time on the telly and in the books we read…

When Heather and Joe decide to be Sleuthy MacSleuths on the property abutting the castle Heather's family lives in, neither expect to discover the real reason children were going missing:

A Kelpie. A child-eating faerie horse had moved into the loch "next door."

The two barely escape with their lives, but they aren't safe. Caught in a storm of faerie power, Heather, Joe, and Heather's whole family are pulled into a maze of talking cats, ghostly secrets, and powerful magick.

With another child taken, time is running out to make things right.

I have to say that I think this cover is all kinds of awesome...
I love how different it is and how creepy it looks. I mean dude it looks like a zombi-fied horse! That is just all kinds of awesome!

Due For Paperback Release: November 5, 2013

Blurb:
For twenty-one-year-old Sydney, being in love with Kyler isn't anything new. They'd been best friends ever since he pushed her down on the playground and she made him eat a mud pie. Somewhere over the years, she fell for him and fell hard. The big problem with that? Kyler puts the 'man' in man-whore. He's never stayed with a girl longer than a few nights, and with it being their last year in college, Syd doesn't want to risk their friendship by declaring her love.

Kyler has always put Syd on a pedestal that was too high for him to reach. To him, she's perfect and she's everything. But the feelings he has for her, he's always hidden away or focused on any other female. After all, Kyler will always be the poor boy from the wrong side of tracks, and Syd will always be the one girl he can never have.

But when they're stranded together at a posh ski resort due to a massive Nor'easter, there's nothing stopping their red-hot feelings for each other from coming to the surface. Can their friendship survive the attraction? Better yet, can they survive at all? Because as the snow falls, someone is stalking them, and this ski trip may be a life-changer in more ways than one.

Okay number one.... THAT GUY IS HAWT!
Number two... This is one of the most gorgeous covers I have ever seen.
Number three...

I AM SOOOOO EXCITED FOR THIS BOOK!

I mean seriously I thought JLA's YA books were amazing... and then I read Wait For You! Her NA books are seriously the best. Better than her YA and better than her Adult! JLA was born to write NA books! I'm telling you she is the reigning queen of NA!
I need this book now and I am crazy excited that it's getting released in July. Not too long to wait people!

So there ya go... there's out three totally awesome SHP books!

What do you think?
Do you have a favourite of the three?
Let me know =)

From Goodreads:
The Camp Kiss That Started It All…

Lauren Carlson, a fourteen-year-old expert on the cosmos, superheroes, and science fiction trivia has a crush on her longtime camp friend, Seth. Last summer she’d dreamed about upgrading their relationship to BF/GF status and this year she has a plan… if only her well-meaning cabin mates wouldn’t interfere before she’s ready. She hasn’t even adjusted to her new braces yet, let alone imagined kissing Seth with them. When a dare pushes her out of her comfort zone, will she and Seth rocket out of the friendzone at last? There’s only one way to find out…

Ever since I heard about Spencer Hill Press having a new imprint for Contemporary books I was overjoyed. I am such a contemporary kick lately and really can't get enough of YA or NA contemporary books. After waiting very impatiently for news on what their first book release would be I heard about Camp Boyfriend, the first in a series by JK Rock....
Then enter the news that there would also be a free download of the prequel novella, Camp Kiss, I was pretty much bouncing off the walls with excitement. Well the day is here people and Camp Kiss has finally been revealed into the world and it is not to be missed. It's freaking phenomenal!

Lauren is your typica nerd girl. With a love of all things science fiction and superheros she has always crushed on her summer camp best friend Seth. The only problem? Seth is drop dead gorgeous and Lauren is super-nerd, especially with her new braces. After Lauren's friends dare her to kiss Seth she knows she must go through with it... after all it's camp tradition. But will it turn out to be more than she hoped for or will it all end in disaster?

AHH I have so much love for this novella. I am praying that I can get a hold of this in print because it's one of those books that after finishing you just want to hug to your chest and rock back and forth... for hours! After reading a lot of contemporary novels whenever I read another one I always fear that I will find it boring because some contemporary can feel repetitive. Let me tell you JK Rock is one incredibly outstanding addition to the contemporary genre. The writing style was just amazing and sucked me in right from the start and I didn't stop reading until I had finished.

Lauren... AHH I love Lauren. She is so amazing and she is the character that you can identify with. She isn't the perfect, typical heroine of a story she is just normal and she likes nerdy things and I could really identify her. Reading her story was just so incredible and I really felt like I was experiencing everything along with her. When she swooned I swooned when she hurt, I hurt and there were often times when I was crying along with her. I absolutely adore her and I think she is definitely one of my favourite lead characters from YA contemporary novels.

Seth... Oh my god! You see that puddle at my feet? Yeah that's my insides because he just melted them all! He is just the most amazing character ever and you can guarantee you will fall head over heels in love with him. He is just perfect! I definitely have a new boyfriend.

I already had pretty high expectations for Camp Kiss as I was just so excited to read it and let me tell you it met them and surpassed them all. This is without a doubt the best novella I have ever read. Usually with novella's I find that I just don't enjoy them as much because of how short they are. I feel like I need a full-length book to identify with the characters and enjoy the story. Camp Kiss was 100% different. It sucked me in right from the start and I was already in love with the story and the characters within the firts 2/3 pages. This novella is just phenomenal and not to be missed.

Camp Kiss was perfect in every way. I am literally dying for Camp Boyfriend now because I need to know what will happen next. I have already chosen a side... I don't care what other guy comes into it I will forever be #TeamSeth. Camp Kiss is a phenomenal novella that really gets you into the camp spirit and gives you a sneak peak into the epic awesomeness that Camp Boyfriend will be. This novella will make you giggle and swoon and even cry. Every emotion you could possibly hope to feel while reading a book you will feel while reading this one. It is phenomenal and epic and completely unputdownable. It will take your breath away and leave you begging for more.

The Story Continues July 2nd in....

The summer of her dreams is about to get a reality check.

They said it couldn't be done, but geeky sophomore Lauren Carlson transformed herself into a popular girl after moving to a new school halfway across the country. Amazing what losing her braces and going out for cheerleading will do. Only trouble is, the popular crowd is wearing on Lauren's nerves and she can't wait to return to summer camp where she's valued for her brain instead of her handsprings. She misses her old friends and most of all, her long time camp-only boyfriend, Seth. This year she intends to upgrade their relationship to year-round status once she's broken up with her new, jock boyfriend, Matt. He doesn't even begin to know the real her, a girl fascinated by the night sky who dreams of discovering new planets and galaxies.

But Matt isn't giving her up without a fight. As he makes his case to stay together, Lauren begins to realize his feelings run deeper than she ever would have guessed. What if the guy she thought she was meant to be with forever isn't really The One? Returning to Camp Juniper Point was supposed to ground her uprooted life, but she's more adrift than ever. Everything feels different and soon Lauren's friends are turning on her and both guys question what she really wants. As summer tensions escalate, Lauren wonders if she's changed more than she thought. Will her first big discovery be herself?

Early Review: Eden-South (Eden #3)

Hey Guys, I am so excited to be a part of the blog tour for Eden-South by the phenomenal Janelle Stalder today. I am so excited that this book is finally out in the world. I was very lucky to beta read this book for Janelle and let me tell you it is not to be missed out on. This series is one of my all time favourites and you just have GOT to read it.

Check out my review below....

Publication Date: March, 2013
Date Read: October 28, 2012
Genre: YA - Fantasy
Source: Review Copy from Author
Format: E-Book

Blurb:
The betrayal that tore a family apart. Two brothers bent on destroying the other. A whole world on the brink of war.

Aiden has been through his second battle in the magical world of Eden. The victory is short lived and Aiden is sent racing toward his friends in the Capital. After being back in Eden with the Riders, he is eager to reunite with Wolf, Elisa and Logan, although he doesn’t realize just what he’s returning to. Surprises await him when he arrives in the Capital; his close-knit group of friends is slowly falling apart. On top of it all, another battle is just around the corner, one that will change everything.

Rain has made her choice, and now she is in some unknown fortress with the feared sorcerer, Aziz. She wants nothing more but to please him, but being his Queen isn’t as easy as she thought. While trying to learn sorcery, and dealing with Aziz’s advances, Rain is finding her new life a bit overwhelming. Just when she thought it couldn’t get worse, she discovers a secret of Aziz’s, and it is nothing she could have expected.

Rose has supported Callum throughout their journey, but now that the final battle is just around the corner she is faced with a hard reality. Everything she has gained with him could be taken away. Is she willing to live the rest of her life without him? Can she just stand by while he destroys everything, including himself? Will he ever be able to find peace? Will she?

In the third installment of the Eden Series fates will be decided, and the battle between brothers that has been a decade in the making will finally come to an end. Only one of them can be High King.

The battle starts now

"I would know you no matter what you wore. I've watched you closely for so long, every inch of you is burned into my memory."

Wow! That is the first word that popped into my head after finishing up with Eden-South. And well that came after a lot of squeeing and gasping and happy dancing and a 'WTF JUST HAPPENED?' I just adored every moment of Eden-South. Last year when I sat down to read my good friend's book Eden I never imagined I would be thrown into this phenomenal world that would suck me in and never spit me back out because no matter how many other books I read I always remember this one. It just sticks into my brain. It is that good and Eden-South is the best one so far.

Aiden is back with his friends in Eden... but a war is brewing. Aiden, Elisa, Wolf and the gang are back in the third installment in the phenomenal Eden series but this time everything is falling apart. Elisa is set to be married to another man and Wolf is letting it happen (WTF?) and Aiden is shocked at the dramatic change in his group of close friends. Can he help them to pull it back together or are the destined to be apart?
Add to that the fact that the war round 3 is about to start but this time things are more dangerous that ever. Aziz has a secret weapon that nobody knows about... will he be able to finally gain control of Eden?
As things reach an unexpected climax nobody knows what is going to happen to Eden... but one thing is certain the war has only just begun and they have a long way to go.

My reaction just after I finished this book was holy crap... just when I thought things couldn't get better than Eden-West Janelle pulls that out of the bag. I was just completely blown away. This series just keeps getting better and better and I have no idea what could possibly happen next but I know it is going to be epic.

Elisa... Oh Elisa how much I wanted to slap some freaking sense into you! Girl... Wolf is right there... and it's WOLF for heaven's sake. Why on earth would you go with some creepy ass man over hot... sexy... mysterious... bad boy... drool-worthy WOLF! It just does not make sense. She irritated me to no end with this but hey I was so ready to take Wolf off her hands. I love Elisa so much. She is such an awesome kick-ass character but yeah... her decisions were just bat-shit crazy.

Wolf... Oh my wolf... I love you. I love you. I love you. I always loved Wolf from the start of book 1 even when he was being kind of an ass. Well Wolf definitely stepped up his game in this one and my insides just melted into a puddle at my feet. I love love love him. I have yet another book boyfriend that I wish was real. Everybody should read this series just to meet wolf.

What I adored about this book is that we got to meet some brand-new characters and we also 'met' a character that had only been mentioned not seen. Aziz... Oh Aziz... I genuinely loved seeing his world and what he was doing. I went from being hmm he's not too bad to absolutely despising him and wanting him to die. It was really great to see his side of things as well.

This was without a doubt the best book of the series so far and I genuinelly have no idea where the heck Janelle is going to go from here. Janelle is not only a great friend but a phenomenally talented author. I love her and I will read every single thing she writes. I can't wait for the next and final installment in the Eden series to see how everything plays out and cannot wait for it.

Eden-South is jam packed with heart-stopping action, eye-watering emotion and breathtaking romance. I love this series and I will definitely read it over and over again, it is without a doubt a must-read for everyone.

"I don't care about titles, I don't care about riches, I just care that we're together, alive and wealthy."

And just because I couldn't only choose two here's another awesome quote for you...

"I could never replace you Elisa, it would be impossible. You are truly one of a kind."

Blog Tour: Shooting Stars by HD Gordon

Hey Guys,
I'm so excited to be included in the blog tour for HD's phenomenal new book Shooting Stars.
Check it out...

Shooting Stars (Surah Stormstrong #1)
HD Gordon

Blurb:
Once upon a time, a common boy fell in love with a princess. It was a hopeless, forbidden love, grown in a world where sorcery and magic rule over all. Now, dark times are brewing, and destiny will bring them together, while fate works to keep them apart. Extraordinary battles will be fought, and extraordinary choices made. Join the author of The Alexa Montgomery Saga for the beginning of a tale of star-crossed lovers and magic, of hope and love and loss, of desperate wishes made on stars.

I beta read this book and let me tell you it is definitely not to be missed. I absolutely loved it.
My review will up soon.

Now for the blog tour here is an exclusive interview with HD.

-->
Hi HD and thank you for joining us on K-Books today.

So first I have to congratulate you on finishing the Alexa Montgomery series. How did you feel about letting those characters go?

Thank you! It was a bittersweet feeling. These were characters that I had been writing and thinking about for nearly two years, and writing them had become like a second nature. Blood Warrior was the first book I’d ever written, and I had seriously grown to love them by the time I got to the last book. At the same time, it was nice to complete their tales, because even I had no idea how it would end. Writing a series takes a lot out of you, and requires a great deal of thought and time. After a while, you just want to see it completed, to give your characters the finale that they deserve. I tried to do that to the best of my ability. And I will never regret or forget them. Who knows? They may make an appearance again in my future books somewhere.

So your new series has just been released how excited are you about releasing it into the world?

Very excited. And very nervous. You never can tell how a new work will be perceived. I’m always nervous when those first reviews start to roll in, and all you can do is sit back and know that you’ve done the best you can, and some people will like it, and some won’t.

Can you tell us a bit about it?

Sure. First, it is very different from the AMS. The world is still essentially the same, you’re just seeing a whole new part of it. Those who have read Alexa will see the connections, and I hope it will serve to broaden the scope of the world that was introduced in the AMS. Surah is the main character, and if you’ve read Redemption then you know who she is. She is a sorceress princess, the next in line to the throne. The main guy in this story is Charlie, and he is a common man who has been in love with Surah since they were children. There is no love triangle in this book, as I wanted it to be a tale of star-crossed lovers and magic, but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t complications. Someone else has his eyes on Surah, and he is someone who should definitely be watched out for. When a Highborn lady is murdered in Charlie’s bar, Surah is put on the case to solve the murder, and things sort of unravel from there. To further complicate matters, the main bad guy is a direct relation to Charlie, so yeah, they very quickly find themselves in a world of trouble, and this book is just the beginning.

What made you write another series set in the same world as Alexa?

I like to think that all the books I write, even JOE, could exist in the same world. Everything I write usually has some fantastical element to it, and the idea that I could reference one book in another book- a reference that only constant readers of my work will get- appeals to me. It’s sort of like what Quentin Tarantino does in all of his movies- you may see the same cigarette add on a billboard from a different movie, and you know that somehow, even though the stories are completely different, the world is the same. But you only get these things if you’ve been paying attention all along. Like a secret between me and my constant readers. By the time I’ve written fifty books, this should be such a complex and huge world that it hurts to even think about it.

Who was your favourite character from Shooting Stars to write and why?

Hmm. That’s tough, because I really liked all of these characters. Samson, the tiger, seems to be a favourite of the readers, but Surah and Charlie and even the bad guys were fun to write. Also, the fae queen, who you also met in Redemption, was a blast.

If you could only choose one of your lead male characters as a favourite who would you choose?

Charlie. Yes, Charlie. I love the shit outta Kayden. But I know where I’m going with Charlie, and the cool thing about him is that he is a guy that you could actually meet, not some Greek-God that you only find between the pages of a fantasy novel, but a real man who you might just see walking down the street before he sweeps your heart away from you.

And finally what can we expect from you in the near future?

I will finish Surah’s tales this year, and I promise that book two and three will knock you off your feet. This book is merely the setup of that. Also, I’m working on a horror book right now that I hope to shop out to agents, and also make people afraid to turn off their lights. As always, there is a lot more in the works. But, I’m also going back to school in the fall, so I hope that readers will stick around as I go and try to strengthen my craft.

Thanks for joining us on K-Books today and good look with your new release.

Thank you, Kay! Always a pleasure!

Well what are you waiting for? Go get Shooting Stars now!

Welcome to... Spensations

Hey Everyone and welcome to the first Spensations post.

Introduction:

It's no surprise to anyone who knows me how much I adore Spencer Hill Press. They are to me one of the best, if not THE BEST, publishing company out there. Every publicist who works there is just amazing and totally puts up with me totally fangirling over them and their books. The authors are just so amazing and don't mind if you just email them to tell them how much you want to read their book. They do so much for me by sending me their uber awesome ARCs and swag so I wanted to do something for them and so came up with the idea to have a monthly feature to advertise their books/authors etc.
When thinking about starting this feature I had to come up with a name and I am so not a creative so asked for some suggestions from SHP authors. I took some of the suggestions and mixed them up to come up with Spensations. I really think it fits as I believe that every single SHP book is sensational... and then I had to have the tag line of 'the latest hot picks from Spencer Hill Press' because well they are all so hot.

A massive thank you to Lisa, who designed my crazy awesome banner. Isn't it amazing? I am just in love with it! Lisa is epically amazing.

Spensations will be kicking off in two weeks (April 1st) with an interview with Kimbery Ann Miller, author of upcoming Triangles and there will be an interview and giveaway every month.

Now because I love SHP books so much to welcome you all to Spensations I am giving away ONE Spencer Hill Press book that is already released. Here is some of the books you can choose from.

Giveaway is open internationally as long as The Book Depository ships to your country.
All you need to do is leave me a comment saying who you would like me to interview as part of the feature and which book you would choose if you won.
If you don't leave you email address you can't be entered.

I hope you are looking forward to Spensations

everything to be just like the warmer months they’d spent there as kids.
And it is—at first. But Chance, the charismatic and adventurous boy who
made their summers epic, is harboring deep secrets. Secrets that are
quickly spiraling into something else entirely.

The reason they’ve never met Chance’s parents or seen his home is
becoming clearer. And what the siblings used to think of as Chance's
quirks—the outrageous stories, his clinginess, his dangerous
impulsiveness—are now warning signs that something is seriously off.

Then Chance's mom turns up with a bullet to the head, and all eyes
shift to Chance and his dad. Hunter and Ashlin know Chance is
innocent...they just have to prove it. But how can they protect the boy
they both love when they can’t trust a word Chance says?

Isn't it beautiful? I absolutely love this cover!
I cannot wait to read this book. I just know it will be amazing!
