Blog Tour: Eden-East (Eden #4)

Hey Guys,
So today I have very mixed feelings. Today marks the first stop on the blog tour for the final installment in the fantastic Eden Series, Eden-East. This is one of my favourite series so I am very excited to be on the blog tour but at the same time I am very very sad for it to be the last in the series =(

First of all let me tell you all about the series.

Book 1 - Eden
 photo goodreads-badge-add-plus-d700d4d3e3c0b346066731ac07b7fe47_zps3cd819f5.png

From Goodreads:
Trapped within the cruel world of hormones and bullies, fifteen-year-old Aiden is convinced life has more to offer him. His instincts are proven correct on the night he is awakened by a voice calling to him from outside his window. As he sleepily peers into his yard, his eyes slowly focus on a woman who says she is there to take him to Eden. Aiden is about to fulfill the life purpose he never knew he had.

It is in Eden, a land on the brink of war, where Aiden will finally learn to trust himself and those around him. Accompanied by Wolf, his sidekick Logan, and the beautiful archer, Elisa, Aiden is soon thrust into a battle to save Eden. Meanwhile Elisa, the only girl in the King's Army, is in the midst of her own struggles. Betrothed to a man she has no intention of marrying, Elisa is caught between the need to prove herself and her desire for true happiness. And now that she has met Aiden, she is more confused than ever.

In this action-packed fantasy tale, romance, adventure, and intrigue surround Aiden as he learns just what he is capable of when he discovers confidence and courage.

From Goodreads:
New beginnings, new conflicts, and new adventures arise in the second installment of the Eden Series, Eden-West. Months after his initial journey to Eden, Aiden is learning to cope with his own transformation. His social status has changed, his friendship with his best friend Ethan is in jeopardy because of it, and worst of all, he has heard absolutely nothing from his new friends in Eden. What has become of the world he fell in love with? Are his friends safe? Is the war over? With no answers, and no hope for contact, Aiden decides to focus on his life in his world. Just as he makes this decision, he encounters a familiar bright light and thinks he knows exactly what it means. Except the light isn't at all what he expects and neither is the person behind it. When Aiden returns to Eden, it is to a whole new part of that special world, and a whole new set of adventures. Weeks after Aiden was returned to his own world, Elisa is sent to Nysa, the revered Southern city, to retrieve the one thing she'd rather avoid - Wolf. Captain Turk instructed her to get in and get out - but that is easier said than done. When she finds her missing friend, she also stumbles upon a great deal of trouble. This trouble goes by one name - Markus, the leader of the Sun People. Follow all your favourite characters as they ready themselves for battle and fight for a world threatened to be destroyed.

Book 3 - Eden-South

From Goodreads:
The betrayal that tore a family apart. Two brothers bent on destroying the other. A whole world on the brink of war.

Aiden has been through his second battle in the magical world of Eden. The victory is short lived and Aiden is sent racing toward his friends in the Capital. After being back in Eden with the Riders, he is eager to reunite with Wolf, Elisa and Logan, although he doesn’t realize just what he’s returning to. Surprises await him when he arrives in the Capital; his close-knit group of friends is slowly falling apart. On top of it all, another battle is just around the corner, one that will change everything.

Rain has made her choice, and now she is in some unknown fortress with the feared sorcerer, Aziz. She wants nothing more but to please him, but being his Queen isn’t as easy as she thought. While trying to learn sorcery, and dealing with Aziz’s advances, Rain is finding her new life a bit overwhelming. Just when she thought it couldn’t get worse, she discovers a secret of Aziz’s, and it is nothing she could have expected.

Rose has supported Callum throughout their journey, but now that the final battle is just around the corner she is faced with a hard reality. Everything she has gained with him could be taken away. Is she willing to live the rest of her life without him? Can she just stand by while he destroys everything, including himself? Will he ever be able to find peace? Will she?

In the third installment of the Eden Series fates will be decided, and the battle between brothers that has been a decade in the making will finally come to an end. Only one of them can be High King.

The battle starts now.

From Goodreads:
New life, new deaths, and truths revealed. Everything ends now.

In the final installment of the Eden series, the King’s army prepares for their biggest battle yet. Aiden and his friends set out to find Aziz in his hidden mountain fortress and bring the war in Eden to an end. But secrets are being discovered along the way, and the weight of them could ruin lives. Aiden is coping with loss and the need for vengeance, as well as changes in himself he doesn’t quite understand. Thousands of lives are depending on him to stop Aziz once and for all, and this time Aiden is more than ready and confident he’ll be the one to do it. The stakes are higher than he ever anticipated on his journey east.

Elisa is embarking on a new phase of her life. She has the man she loves beside her, their group of friends have become stronger, and the end of war is in sight. Now she just needs to see it through so she can finally have her happily ever after. But she knows the truth that the others don’t, and it will test her loyalty and friendship more than anything ever has.

With two brothers side by side, and an army ready for war, the only thing left to be seen is who will live and who will die.

Welcome to the thrilling conclusion of your journey into Eden.

"Eden-East has everything that you could possibly want in a book. There is heart-stopping action and relationships that completely take your breath away. You wil laugh and swoon one minute and be crying hysterically the next. Eden-East took my breath away and broke my heart into a million little pieces and then patched it back up again. This final installment of the phenomenal Eden series is an emotional rollercoaster but it is completely worth it and is really the perfect ending for a perfect series. This is definitely one series I will re-read over and over and over again. I loed absolutely every moment of it"

K-Books Top 5 Reasons you MUST READ Eden Series by Janelle Stalder:

1. It was the first book that made me love Epic Fantasy
Seriously I hated Epic Fantasy. I could never get into it and the majority of the time they just bored the life out of me. Enter Eden! It blew me away and made me fall in love with the genre. It's the best of the best.

 2. Romance/Action Balence
Anyone who knows me knows I am massive Romance girl and this book has the perfect balence of romance where it isn't sickeningly sweet and there isn't too much. There's just enough to satisfy romance junkies like me while being vital and true to the storyline and having super awesome kick-ass action scenes.

3. Kick-ass Heroine
Enter Elisa. The head of the king's army's daughter. Man can she fight. She is totally kick-ass and won't stand for no crap. I adore her!

4. Magick!
It's a fantasy series so of course there's lots of awesome magick. What makes Eden stand out from the rest is that there's a little glipse of paranomal hidden in with the sorcery. It's fantastic and just makes the books unputdownable.

5. WOLF!
Oh My Wolf! He is the best character you could ever EVER meet. He is total womanizer bad boy who acts like he does because his heart really belongs to one girl... who seems to hate him! He is just everything I love in a book guy. If for no other reason you have to read this book just because of Wolf.

 About Janelle:

Janelle Stalder was born and raised in Brampton, Ontario. At an early age she developed a love for literature. From Goodreads:
She has just two weeks. Two weeks to teach him how to fall in love – with his own life.

Adam Basil and Christine Rose are thrown together late one night, when Christine is crossing the Halfpenny Bridge in Dublin. Adam is there, poised, threatening to jump. Adam is desperate – but Christine makes a crazy deal with him. His 35th birthday is looming and she bets him she can show him that life is worth living before then.

Despite her determination, Christine knows what a dangerous promise she’s made. Against the ticking of the clock, the two of them embark on wild escapades, grand romantic gestures and some unlikely late-night outings. Slowly, Christine thinks Adam is starting to fall back in love with his life.

But has she done enough to change his mind for good? And is that all that’s starting to happen?

"While you were trying to make Maria fall in love with me, and make me fall in love with life, I fell in love with you."

I have been head over heels in love with Cecelia Ahern right from the moment I started reading her debut novel, PS I Love You, way back in 2007. Ever since then I have obsessed over all of her books and as soon as I heard of this one I was dying to get my hands on it. I pretty much screamed and jumped up and down for a good 10 minutes in excitement before I calmed down enough to crack open the book and read... and I devoured it in one sitting.

Christine has just encountered the most horrifying event. Seeing a man shoot himself in the head changed her life forever. Deciding that she wasn't happy in her life she decided she needed to change before it was too late. After ending her marriage and determined to start again she embarks on a journey she will never forget. Enter Adam. Adam is planning a suicide but Christine stops him from jumping from the Halfpenny Bridge and she promises him that she can help him to enjoy life again. As Christine and Adam are forced together Christine is determined to show him how fun life can be but as they embark on the journey sparks start to fly... can Christine help Adam and let him go at the end? Or are they destined for more?

How To Fall in Love is an addictive and heartwarming love story. Cecelia Ahern has blown me away yet again. There's just something about Cecelia's novels where she just brings a little magic into them and they are just like a modern day fairytale. How To Fall in Love is no different. I absolutely adored every single second this book and is just may be my favourite Cecelia Ahern novel to date. It's fantastic. Cecelia's writing style is phenomenal. She pulls you in right form the start and doesn't let you go until well after the story is over.

How To Fall in Love is unique, beautiful and uplifting. It is a book that has such a fantastic meaning underneath that it will stay with you long after you have finished reading. It beautiful and magical. It's not just a chick lit love story. The love story isn't the most important aspect of the story. The most important part is showing you that life is hard and though there are many times when we feel like the bad times will never be over we still have to go on. Life is a beautiful thing no matter how difficult it is. Cecelia Ahern is just my hero. I adore her and her novels always have a beautiful uplifting message in them so that when you finish reading you are left feeling like you can face anything.

How To Fall in Love is without a doubt one of the best book I have read this year. I devoured the book in one sitting. I just couldn't put it down. It was utter perfection. It was beautiful and moving. Uplifting and Magical. Cecelia Ahern is magical! She is utterly phenomenal and everyone has to read her books. They are perfect and incredible. How To Fall in Love is without a doubt a must-read for everyone. It will make you fall in love and have you wanting to just hug the book forever. I loved every single second of it and I will be waiting on tenter hooks for Cecelia's next heartwarming book.

"Moments are precious, sometimes they linger and other times they're fleeing, and yet so much could be done in them; you could change a mind, you could save a life and you could even fall in love."

Allegiant (Divergent #3)
Veronica Roth

Published By: Katherine Tegan Books (US) / Harper Collins (UK)
Publication Date: October 22, 2013
Genre: YA - Dystopia
 photo goodreads-badge-add-plus-d700d4d3e3c0b346066731ac07b7fe47_zps3cd819f5.png

From Goodreads:
One choice will define you.

What if your whole world was a lie?
What if a single revelation—like a single choice—changed everything?
What if love and loyalty made you do things you never expected?

The faction-based society that Tris Prior once believed in is shattered—fractured by violence and power struggles and scarred by loss and betrayal. So when offered a chance to explore the world past the limits she’s known, Tris is ready. Perhaps beyond the fence, she and Tobias will find a simple new life together, free from complicated lies, tangled loyalties, and painful memories.

But Tris’s new reality is even more alarming than the one she left behind. Old discoveries are quickly rendered meaningless. Explosive new truths change the hearts of those she loves. And once again, Tris must battle to comprehend the complexities of human nature—and of herself—while facing impossible choices about courage, allegiance, sacrifice, and love.

Told from a riveting dual perspective, Allegiant, by #1 New York Times best-selling author Veronica Roth, brings the Divergent series to a powerful conclusion while revealing the secrets of the dystopian world that has captivated millions of readers in Divergent and Insurgent.

Right from the moment I read Divergent... in one sitting... in 4 hours... I have been utterly obsessed with this series. I am so beyond excited for this one and to see how the series is going to end. This is without a doubt one of my all time favourite Dystopia series and I cannot wait to read it.

UK Blog Tour: Perfection by JL Spelbring

Perfection (Perfection #1)
JL Spelbring

Published By: Spencer Hill Press
Publication Date: July 16, 2013
Genre: YA - Dystopia
 photo goodreads-badge-add-plus-d700d4d3e3c0b346066731ac07b7fe47_zps3cd819f5.png

Blurb:
The personification of Aryan purity, Ellyssa's spent her whole life under her creator's strict training and guidance; her purpose is to eradicate inferior beings. She was genetically engineered to be the perfect soldier: strong, intelligent, unemotional, and telepathic.
Only Ellyssa isn't perfect.
Ellyssa feels emotions--a fact she's spent her life concealing. Until she encounters the epitome of inferiority: a dark-haired boy raised among renegades hiding since the Nazis won the war a century ago. He speaks to her telepathically, pushing thoughts into her mind, despite the impossibility of such a substandard person having psychic abilities.
But he does.
His unspoken words and visions of a place she's never visited make Ellyssa question her creator. Confused and afraid her secret will be discovered, Ellyssa runs away, embarking on a journey where she discovers there is more to her than perfection

So I absolutely 100% adored this book. It's one of the best dystopia novels I have ever read and so I am here to tell you WHY you should read.

K-Books Top 5 Reasons to read Perfection by JL Spelbring:

1. It's completely 100% Unique and Fresh

The thing that completely hit me when I first started reading Perfection was that even though it is in a well known and very popular, at least right now, genre (Dystopia) it's completely new and unique. It's such a fresh and new idea that nobody has done before. We are transported into a Nazi world where the Nazi's won the way and anyone who isn't the perfect 'blond haired blue eyes' person is either eradicated or on the run known as a Renegade. Throw out all of your thoughts on YA dystopia novels because this will challenge each and every one.

2. We have an absolutely kick-ass Female Protagonist.

Enter Ellyssa, she is beautiful, strong and kick-ass. Not only because she is pretty special. She has a special power, she can read people's minds but that not all. She is pretty damn kick-ass. She is trained in fighting so she knows how to kick someone's ass and she won't take crap from nobody. Beware people because she will take you down!

3. You have gorgeous swoon-worthy boys

Who doesn't love a gorgeous swoon worthy boy? Rein is perfect. He is a Renegade and is all about going down fighting. From the moment we met this beautiful boy with the piercing green eyes... yeah green eyes! (nuff said) I was sold. He is strong, protective and swoon-worthy. The book is worth reading just so we get to meet Rein.

4. There's a perfect balence of action and romance

I am definitely a romance kinda girl and I love romance in my books. Well JL Spelbring has the perfect balance of the typical dystopia action scenes that we have all come to obsess over in dystopic fiction. Add that to the perfect balance of romance. The action scenes are heart-stopping and the romance is breath-taking. I love how the romance isn't rushed, it takes its time and slowly developed throughout the book. It's pretty damn perfect!

5. It has a deep meaning underneath the story

I know I'm not the only one who just adored finding these deep meanings in novels underneath the story what does the story show on a deeper level and Perfection has one of the best. Ellyssa has been taught that emotions are a weakness and throughout the book she discovers that they are not. We learn how to trust in feelings, something we learn as a child but we see it being learnt now through Young Adult Ellyssa. Not only that we see her start to trust and believe in family. Perfection is in a word Perfection!

Snippet of K-Books Perfection Review:

"Perfection absolutely blew me away. Just thinking about a world where the Nazi's won the way completely and utterly baffles me. I mean it is something I would never want to think about because that world would just be too scary. JL Spelbrings brings it to life and writes it perfectly. Her writing style sucked me in right from the start of the book and I couldn't put it down. This is one of the most cleverly-thought-out and unique dystopia's I've ever read and it is so realistic. I mean this book literally scares me... not because it's frightening or creepy but because thinking about it if the Nazi's had in fact won the war I could totally see this actually happening... and that's scary."

Gone Series by Michael Grant:

#1 Gone
#2 Hunger
#3 Lies
#4 Plague
#5 Fear
#6 Light (Haven't Got Yet)

This is another series that after hearing amazing things about I bought on my book shopping trip with Bekah from Reflective Bookworm. I am a huge fan of Dystopia so I knew that I just had to buy this series. I haven't yet bought Light (book 6) as I am waiting for the paperback to release in the UK so that they match. The main reason I haven't read this series yet is because I would love to read them all together and that would take a bit of time with there being 6 books and they aren't exactly short and quick reads so I've mainly been waiting until book 6 gets released in paperback and when I have time to read all 6 together.

Genre: YA - Paranormal

From Goodreads:From the New York Times bestselling author of The Chemical Garden trilogy: On the floating city of Internment, you can be anything you dream. Unless you approach the edge.

Morgan Stockhour knows getting too close to the edge of Internment, the floating city in the clouds where she lives, can lead to madness. Even though her older brother, Lex, was a Jumper, Morgan vows never to end up like him. If she ever wonders about the ground, and why it is forbidden, she takes solace in her best friend, Pen, and in Basil, the boy she’s engaged to marry.

Then a murder, the first in a generation, rocks the city. With whispers swirling and fear on the wind, Morgan can no longer stop herself from investigating, especially once she meets Judas. Betrothed to the victim, he is the boy being blamed for the murder, but Morgan is convinced of his innocence. Secrets lay at the heart of Internment, but nothing can prepare Morgan for what she will find – or whom she will lose.

I absolutely adored Lauren DeStefano's Chemical Garden trilogy so as soon as I heard about this new series I automatically couldn't wait to read it. I know it's gonna be just awesome! I am so excited to read this. It sounds amazing and a friend of mine got an ARC from the US Publishers and she loved it so I know I am going to love this!
