Feyre survived Amarantha's clutches to return to the Spring Court—but at a steep cost. Though she now has the powers of the High Fae, her heart remains human, and it can't forget the terrible deeds she performed to save Tamlin's people.
Nor has Feyre forgotten her bargain with Rhysand, High Lord of the feared Night Court. As Feyre navigates its dark web of politics, passion, and dazzling power, a greater evil looms—and she might be key to stopping it. But only if she can harness her harrowing gifts, heal her fractured soul, and decide how she wishes to shape her future—and the future of a world cleaved in two.
With more than a million copies sold of her beloved Throne of Glass series, Sarah J. Maas's masterful storytelling brings this second book in her seductive and action-packed series to new heights.
"The issue isn't whether he loved you, it's how much. Too much. Love can be poison."
I have been such an enormous fan of Sarah J Maas ever since I was lucky enough to get her debut, Throne of Glass, for review. I fell in love with her writing straight away and have devoured every book she has wrote ever since. I could not wait for the release of A Court of Mist and Fury. I really loved the first book in this series and I couldn't wait to see how it was going to progress. I was not disappointed at all with this book. It was utter perfection and possibly my favourite Sarah J Maas book to date.
Fayre went through hell to save Tamlin and his people and no matter what she can't forget the things that she had to do. But it was worth it to save the person she loves.... right? Fayre has to come to terms with the new High Fae powers that she now has and she has not forgotten the deal that she made with Rhysand. Can she stand by her deal while still being dedicated to Tamlin?
This book is 100% a game changer in this series. Everything I felt about these characters has completely turned around. Fayre is without a doubt the most amazing character. I love her. She's totally kick-ass and amazing and I loved her throughout this whole book. She goes through such a transformation and every time she made a decision I was 100% behind her.
The boys... I went through such a massive change of heart with these boys. At the end of A Court of Thorns and Roses I liked Tamlin but really liked Rhysand. Let's talk about Tamlin first. He was kind of overwhelming in this book. I went from liking him to disliking him, being annoyed at him to absolutely hating him. I cannot stand that High Lord. Rhysand however, I am absolutely 100% Team Rhysand. He is everything any book loved could want in a book boyfriend. He is gorgeous, snarky, teasing and hilarious. Every scene with him in has me either laughing out loud or seriously swooning. I adore him!
A Court of Mist and Fury was such an amazing book. For its 600+ pages I could not put it down and I devoured it. It is without a doubt my favourite book of the year to date. It was amazing. Moving and heartbreaking; full of action and suspence and romance. Everything I could possibly want from a YA Fantasy book was jam packed into this incredible book. I adored every moment of it and I am left reeling dying to get my hands on the next book! I loved every moment of it. This is definitely a must-read for everyone. Sarah J Maas is without a doubt one of the best authors I have ever read. If you haven't read her stuff yet I highly recommend that you do!
"I'm thinking that I was a lonely, hopeless person, and I might have fallen in love with the first thing that showed me a hint of kindness and safety."
